I’ve been re-reading Amichai’s poems yet again and thought about this photo I took couple years ago at friends wedding.

Put your face to the wind
for I don’t know when again.
We have too little time to forget.
We cannot rely on forgetting.
The wind pasted on old newspaper to the olive tree.
Put your face.

Once we stood together
As a symbol of vanished kingdom:
Wild beasts, banners, and obsolete weapons
In one bundle, tied with a band of soothing words
In an ancient language.
A phrase from the prayerbook of history.

of Talmudic students.
“Do you love me?”

A few weeks ago, Marina, Nyusha, and I have spent a day in Montreal. Here’s a shot I grabbed as we were walking around with no particular goal in mind. I used to spend quite a bit of time in Montreal back in the day. This trip brought back memories.
